This course is about using that power ethically, creatively, and effectively to support advocacy for sexual and gender diversities and community voices.

Whether you’re capturing a story from your community or crafting a short poetic campaign piece, this course will help you tell your story, your way—using tools that are accessible, affordable, and safe.

You don’t need a film degree. Just a message—and a willingness to try, and learn from good mistakes.

This free, self‑paced online course is designed for campaigners for sexual and gender diversities everywhere in the world who want to use low‑cost, ethical video to amplify their voices and build social change. No fancy gear—just your creativity, your message, and a real sense of connection.

By the end of this course, you’ll be able to:

1. Learn how to plan, shoot, and edit impactful videos on a low or no budget

2. Tell authentic stories that speak to diverse communities

3. Use video across platforms
(social, YouTube, events, community spaces)

4. Stay safe, respectful, and privacy‑aware in every production spaces)

  • 5 levels, each ending in a creative project you can practice
  • Fully mobile‑friendly—learn on any device, anywhere, anytime
  • Designed for peer learning—work solo or with your group, share your practice pieces, review one another
  • Includes a “Survival Guide” which you can access in the left hand side menu bar
  • 8‑10 bite‑sized lessons per level, mixing text, visuals, videos, and exercises
  • Includes downloadable checklists, storyboards, and templates for scaling up to desktop workflows

You will be able to go through the lessons at your own pace, coming back to where you left anytime you want. Each lesson can be taken individually and includes exercises. Exercises are not compulsory, but we encourage you to take them as they are part of the learning journey.

When you enrol, you will automatically create a notebook. You can copy/paste content from the course or type your own notes. This notebook can be downloaded in pdf format at any time by opening the notes menu on the right hand side of your screen.
